MOVE FROM A FIXED MINDSET TO GROWTH.

Moving from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset begins with challenging our brain’s natural tendency to label and define reality as static. These labels, or ideas of “what is,” help make the world predictable but often limit our ability to see new possibilities. By questioning these mental constructs, we open ourselves to growth, innovation, and a deeper understanding of the potential for change within ourselves and the world around us. Transformation starts when we move beyond the certainty of “what is” and embrace the freedom of “what could be.”

ABOUT ME...

I have worked as a CEO for more than 13 years across the financial services industry, transforming banks back to growth and profitability. Along the way I have also advised quite some governments on their economic strategies. The New York Times once dubbed me the Philospher Banker because I ask so many questions – I am sticking with it for PR purposes. In 2020 I got myself into quite some trouble after rebelling against Suriname’s president and former dictator, after some of his minions stole $200 million from the local banks. You can imagine that didn’t go down well – for him. Once upon a time I received a Master’s in Physics and later moved on to get my MBA in Finance from the Wharton School. I am now a PhD researcher at the Erasmus where I focus on the influence of beliefs on emotion, behavior and choices.
